Conley has been putting on the poundage, now that the feeding tube is in place. The doctors have tested him for everything under the sun, and they all came back negative. It looks like the failure to thrive was probably due to GERD and a bad latch, but we will likely never know for sure. Thank you all for your prayers and concern.

Pray I that he continues to grow well. He sure looks 3-4 months now. Perhaps when all is well and said and done...it will be said that he fasted at an early age?
Cute kid. Thanks for passing on the good news.
Adorable! Yes, indeed, thanks for passing on the good news.
Was he being nursed? I had to stop breastfeeding Baby # 1, because my PTU (meds for Graves' Disease) was passing the breast milk and depressing his thyroid function (which is a very Bad Thing). Had to stop nursing Baby #2 because he wasn't gaining weight -- not as dire a situation as yours, but still kind of scary. In both cases, I was ordered (by the docs) to stop nursing, and I felt like a failure as a mother. (The breastfeeding fanatics among my acquaintance didn't help. :o)
You have to do what's best for the baby. I am so happy to hear that your little man is thriving now. :)
